General Info We are the early risers, already hustling well before the break of dawn to bring quality, hand crafted bread to your family table and special outing. Led by owner/head baker Michael Runsvold, the morning grind is as much a necessity as it a testament to our commitment to provide fresh loaves to the masses. Michael Runsvold is a James Beard Foundation “Outstanding Baker” semifinalist and Idaho native. After years of working in bakeries around the Treasure Valley, Mike set out on his own to start Acme Bakeshop. In 2012 the bakery began as a small bread delivery service with every loaf personally baked and delivered by Mike himself. Acme soon expanded to serve the Boise Co-op, Boise Farmers Market, and a handful of local restaurants. These days our bakery is bustling with a dedicated crew of bakers, delivery drivers, and farmers market pros who help sling hundreds of loaves to over 40 businesses around the Treasure Valley. And yes, Mike is still chugging coffee and throwing dough along with us.
